Umeme, a big utility in Uganda had a challenge with bulk consumers to utilize smart prepayment with functions of switching to postpaid metering and demand controlling. Hexing provides a mature smart metering platform to help Umeme achieving its target over setup series of anti-tamper C&I meter box and auto-recloser, communicating via cellular 3G/4G channel. Represented mature combination was enough beneficiary for Umeme EDC to manage energy over flexible TOU structure, reduce power outages and optimize revenue collection.
