The Smart Metering Infrastructure Alliance Summit was held from 21^st to 22^nd November 2017 in National Convention Center of Beijing. The theme of the summit was “Future Trend of Technology” and it was an attempt to demonstrate the recent technological achievements of Chinese companies in power utilization industry including Smart Metering, AMI, Smart Energy Management System, etc.

 The total area of exhibition hall was about 5000 m2 and several enterprises built up their booths to offer their product and services related to the subject of the fair.Hexing as a leading global provider of power utilization solutions, was one of the exhibitors that offered some of the selected products and solutions including Smart Metering, Distribution Management System as well as Smart Prepayment Solution (for commercial and industrial consumers).

The aforesaid C&I prepayment solution is suitable for different size of commercial and industrial customers (small, medium and large consumers) and it will help utilities to generate more revenue from C&I customers.

[It is worth mentioning that during African Utility Week of 2017, Hexing were awarded with innovation prize for successful deployment of Smart C&I Prepayment solution in Uganda]

Mr. Li Xiangfeng, the chief engineer of Hexing, gave a speech during sub-forum of the summit. He explained about policy of government to set up new rules and regulations to let large consumers purchase electricity directly from different suppliers (different IPP) 

He elaborated more about different prospects of this issue including followings :

-      Power generators have different CO2 emission , different efficiency and cost (based on the size of the plant)

-      The preference of consumers to purchase electricity at lowest possible fee.

-      The preference of government to promote generation with higher power factors

-      Introduction of HXE110/310 which complies with DLMS/COSEM v8 protocol in order to support above features.

- Significance of interoperability in smart meters for real time communication between power generators/utility/government/supervisor/customer .

The branded booth of Hexing attracted many domestic and international visitors including Utility experts, scholars , consultants , etc.

Some honorable guests including Mr Shi Jun, the Vice Director of CPPCC (Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference), Mr Han Yi, the Chief Engineer of General Administration of Quality Supervision,Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China, Mr. Su Shengxing, the Chief Engineer of State Grid Corporation of China, Mr Wang Jianhua, the Vice President of China Industry- University- Research Institute Collaboration Association, Mr Guo Jianbo, the Chairman of China Electric Power Research Institute and one of the Scientist of Chinese Academy of Engineering visited the branded booth of Hexing .
